The Royal Canadian Mint is offering a new Muskox $100 for $100 Fine Silver Coin—the latest issue in the popular “$100 for $100” series that has sold out each of its previous releases. Composed of 99.99% pure silver, weighing 31.83 grams, and measuring 40 mm in diameter, the Muskox Fine Silver Coin’s cost is equal to its value as legal tender: one hundred Canadian dollars.
The reverse image (shown), designed by Laurene Spino, bears a vivid rendering of three muskoxen trekking through the Canadian artic. The obverse displays Susanna Blunt’s portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, featured on Canadian coinage since 2003.
The Muskox Fine Silver Coin has a mintage limit of 45,000 and per-household purchase limit of 3, in keeping with recent releases in the series. It can be ordered tax-free at the Royal Canadian Mint’s website.
